Teacher Appreciation Week 2022

Updated: May 3, 2022

Hello Fellow FCDC Families,

I am writing to you regarding Teacher Appreciation Week, which is May 2nd-6th. I would love your help in appreciating our wonderful and dedicated teachers here at FCDC.

I have come up with some ideas on how we can show our teachers how grateful we are. These are some

suggestions, but anything is welcomed ☺.

Classroom supplies are always needed. Teachers are going to fill out a wish list of things they could use in their room. Please ask your child’s teachers where to find this.

The following includes the theme for each day of the week:

MONDAY - Breakfast Monday (parents can bring in or donate money for breakfast items)

TUESDAY - Treat your Teacher Treat Tuesday (check out the teacher bios for their favorites)

WEDNESDAY- Bring your teacher a flower (fresh or homemade)

THURSDAY - Bravo Teachers (leave them a thank you in the hallway*)

FRIDAY - Pizza and PJ Party (parents can donate to order the pizza)

*More information on the Thank You Wall - All week there will be posters on the wall with post-it’s to share why we are grateful for our teachers and some of the wonderful things they do for our kids. Please fill out your thanks by Thursday.

Anything fun your company can donate? I always like to ask to get companies involved. Not mandatory, but if your work can offer anything fun, even some cool pens, your teachers will love it. We also plan on calling local vendors to see if there is anything they can share as well. If you know of any company that does this, please share.

These are again just suggestions in case you are looking for ways to show your appreciation, however anything is welcomed and even just a thank you will make all the difference. I really appreciate your help in making these well-deserved teachers feel extra special.

I also wanted to note that I am looking for other parents/guardians to join me in PALs. I have a lot of wonderful ideas on ways we can get involved, especially now that things are warming up outside. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more: pals@fcdc.org
